Home Sweet Home

I remembered clearly that I booked a swan taxi through their official website two weeks before my departure date. And the taxi did not come when I was about to leave Vickery House to international airport last Saturday night. I was so panic and I could sense butterflies are battling in the pit of my stomach. I could not reach them after keyed in '13350' after several tries. When I was about to give up calling Swan Taxi, the operator picked up my call! I tried to keep myself calm while waiting for the taxi to arrive at my place.

After waiting outside VH main office for 20 minutes, it came at last! For god's sake, I managed to check in 1 hour and 45 minutes before the check in counter closed. But there were more troubles coming up. At first, I couldn't pull the trolley out eventhough I have inserted 5 Aussie dollars into the coin-operated machine! After a while, a very helpful guy passed by and asked me whether I need some help. I think maybe it was because of my adrenaline hormone, so I shouted "Yes" loudly at him! After placing 4 heavy luggages together with 2 boxes on the trolley, I quickly rushed to the check in counter. Upon checked in all the baggages, I exceeded the baggage allowance. I kept on repacking all my baggages and weighed it on the machine. But those baggages were still overweight! When I referred to the time on my watch, it was nearly 1 a.m and I should be at the departure gate at that moment! To make things simple, I paid 207 Aussie dollars for my excess baggages and I even threw all my "darlings" into the bin. After I made my payment @ counter 14, I rushed immediately to the departure gate and I got stuck in the middle of the queue. At that moment, I felt my heart was sinking like titanic because there was only half an hour left until 2a.m.

When it was my turn to scan all my carry-on luggages, one of the security guards asked me to re-scan my baggages again because I forgot to remove laptop from my laptop bag. And I told him I have only got less than 30 minutes left before departing, he kept on comforting and soothing me down. He replied me, "Don't worry dear, everything will be alright! You still have 25 minutes to go and you just have to re-scan your laptop and you can go after that." I was struggling very hard at the mean time and I was about to spit out vulgars at him. But I didn't do that because it was very rude and impolite. Besides, I didn't want all the dramatic scenes to come up which may cause me missing the flight. After passing all the procedures, I ran as fast as a leopard to gate 4 and all I could see was the big close sign appeared in front of my eyes. A second later, a lady came and told me the gate hasn't open yet, she told me I still have to wait for another ten minutes because the workers were still checking on the condition of the flight. Lucky me! I could feel my muscles got loosen up. I thought I would have just missed the flight!

Right after got into the flight, I realized there were a lot of empty seats around me. Since I was so freaking exhausted, so I occupied 4 seats together with 4 pillows and 4 blankets and then, I started to fall into the hole of my sleeping dream.

5 hours flight was really tiring and cold. Upon my arrival @ Changi Airport, Singapore, I have to stopover for another 10 + hours! I kept on strolling around all the terminals and looked for foods!

Around 10 minutes past 5 in the evening, I hurried to gate F35 @ terminal 2. Few minutes later, a lady serving at the counter desk called out my name all in a sudden. And the first thing I could think of was my hand-carried baggages exceed the limitation of weight again! In fact, she asked me whether I would like to swift my seat from 14 D to 10 D *Phewww.

Once I arrived @ Kuching international airport, I quickly went down to claim my baggages. Other passangers might think that I was insane because I have 9 luggages altogether with me!The custom officers even got stunned for quite sometimes when they saw me pushing one trolley with so many luggages on it.

Finally, I'm back to my home sweet home! :)
