My first day in Brissy

It has been a while since I last blogged about my vacation to Bali, opsie daisy!

So yeah, I touched down Brisbane on Valentine's day. But I didn't get a chance to see any lovey-dovey couples smooching or do whatever-thing-they-like in the city. It was actually a good thing, at least for me and all the single ladies out here! Oh my god, jealous me!

The custom procedures in Brissy were quick and strictless as compared to Melbourne's and Perth's. Oh and I met Auggy at the airport while waiting for uq airport receptionist to drop us off at Urbanest student apartment. He was so helpful by lending me a hand to carry my unsurprisingly-overweight-luggages.

Once we reached Urbanest, it took us an hour or less to check in. There were hoards of people checking in on that day, I waited impatiently like a mad people at the lobby! When I first moved into Apartment 32, all my roomies helped me with the cleaning parts. They were like super duper friendly towards me eventhough I'm authentically an Asian girl. Alexa, Hannah, Nicole, Stephy and Amy were my roomies and they came from Northen part of Queensland. They have very strong Australian accent when they talk! I'm so gladful that my dad sent me to do my foundation program in Perth last year. Otherwise I couldn't catch up with their slang and accent!

Oh and a big thank to Cedric (kiddo) to help me with fitting the bedsheets. And guess what we found underneath the mattress? *Drumrolls... Answer revealed : A used condom! It was so disgusting and gross! Anyway, I spent quite sometime to clean up the entire room and to unpack my belongings.

Later on, I joined Cedric and his friends to grab some stuffs from the town. I was sweating like hell when we walked from Southbank busway all the way to Myer at Elizabeth Street! Anyway, I was so excited about the shopping hunt @ K-mart, Target and Harvey Norman! At last, I got my super soft pillow and muffins baking tray from Target! Then we headed to Harvey Norman @ Queen Street to grab my favourite brand kettle, Kambrook!

Before headed back to Urbanest, Wanye and I waited for Auggy, Cedric, Haley and Tim to finish their dinner.

Later at night, Cedric and Haley came over to help me with my stuffs. A gazillion thanks to Cedric! :D
