Imagine you are stuck in a huge crowd of people and you couldn't find your way out. This kind of dull atmosphere reminded me of Hong Kongers and tourists packed like sardines inside a cramped train.
After clearing customs and immigration, 18 of us met up with Ming Ming Travel Agency's Tour Leader, Willie. Although he is at the age of 51 but he doesn't act like an old folk! In fact, he's quite active and super friendly towards all of us! How good to have a tour leader like him!
Once we approached the tourist bus, 2 ladies greeted and welcomed us with Balinese aromatic bright yellow flowers! Before proceeded to our hotel at Kuta, Willie brought us to Tea House for dinner. The rice wasn't properly cooked, the flesh of sweet and sour pork wasn't that tender but the veggies were really fresh and scrumptious when they were pan-fried together with the smelled-so-good belacan and diced chilli!
After that, the bus driver drove us to Best Western Kuta hotel which is just a short 10 minutes bus ride from the airport! It couldn't be any more convenient with heaps of shopping malls nearby.
It took us about 30 minutes checked in because everyone in Bali works like a three-toed sloth! It was so fucking slow like we were rotting at the hall for quite some time. Anyway, the hotel itself has really inviting and welcoming ambiance with the a large pool situated behind the buildings! The room has soft yellow lighting and the bed was really comfy, the bathroom isn't that spacious but it's speckless clean! On a scale of 1-10, I will rate it 7 out of 10.
I woke up at 5.30 the next day just to air-dry my wet curly hair after the hot shower early in the morning. Around 8 o'clock, my family and I went down for brekkie on the 2nd floor. It's a buffet restaurant, we got to choose what we like to eat from a wide range of foods. After the breakfast, we were taken to enjoy Barong Dance performance which is about the endless metal-physical battle between the god and evil. To be frank, I wasn't enjoy it at all but it did not stop me from snapping hoards of photos with my "Purple Dino" point and shoot camera!

Right after the performance, we paid a visit to Celuk village which is famous amos of its gold and silver work then the village of MAS, a woodcarving center. It is a popular tourist attraction which is close to Ubud. The furnitures and ornaments are all handmade of magnificient wood! Bali is really an artistic countryside! Unfortunately, I don't relish all the arty farty stuffs.
Next, we continued the day of our tour by visiting the Kintamani Scenic spot to witness the spectacular panorama of the active volcano by afternoon. And we had our lunch at the restaurant on top of the mountain which is just opposite the volcano. After the main and side dishes, we grabbed some bananas pudding and coconut black porridge as our after-meal desserts! Oh and not to forget to mention the favourite dish of mine in Bali was spring rolls dipped in creamy-texture red bean paste! It's a good combination you know! I never thought it would taste so delicious until I took the first bite!

Later, we moved on to our next destination, the mysterious Elephant Cave which is an 11th century Holy Shires. After that, we stopped by at Tampaksiring which is a wonderful presidential palace in Bali. And everyone is compulsory to wrap the lower part of our body which is just below the abdomen with sarong as a sign of respect. Willie leaded us to the Tirta Empul Holy Spring. The locals believe that the spring water owns a magical power which will bring luck to people who drink it. There is a legend that surrounds Tirta Empul Temple. As I know all the grusome tales begin with "once upon a time". So once upon a time, a demon transformed himself into a god. He objected stubbornly to allow people to conduct their religious rites which polluted the air which resulted in the god couldn't peer through it. It ended up with Indra and some deities to clean the air. Later on, the demon fled to poison the river at Tampaksiring. When the deities drank the source of water, they felt sick and passed away. Indra was furious, so he shot an arrow to the ground to create a fresh and extra clean water which successfully revive his men's life! From there, the spring became known as Tirta Empul.

Eventhough it was raining everywhere in Bali but the heavy rain did not ruin our mood.
Before returning back to the hotel, we dined at Jimbaran Beach, a BBQ Seafood restaurant. The seafoods were so yummy, especially the battered fish that goes with extremely spicy belacan sauce, chewy sotong, the juicy flesh of crabs and etc. Everything tasted so divine when I was starving!
Stay tuned for the next update!
P/S:I've got to admit that it was the worst trip I've been to so far!
