Chickened-out of IELTS's speaking task

I will be having a week of holiday soon but it is actually a study week for us to prepare our upcoming SPM examination. I am going to start over my revision again and to refresh my memory. I usually soliloquized to myself that why in the world that students should study hard and will we reap any benefits in return? And I realise that only people who put in a much serious effort will excel in every exam and every tests with flying colours. To sum up, how much attempt you work hard for one thing and you will get back the rewards you deserved in return.

This morning, my dad drove me to IDP workshop for IELTS registration. It took me half an hour to register and I listened patiently to Jean who explained all the procedures before I turned to the main door and said goodbye. The test falls on 24th of October and there will be 22 candidates taking part in IELTS test. I am going to sit for the academic module which is very different from general training module. Candidates going overseas for futher studies, professionals from medical and teaching fields intending to work overseas will be applying Academic Module. Where as, the general training module is generally designed for candidates who are planning to migrate to Australia, New Zealand or Canada. For me, IELTS is not a big deal but I am afraid of the speaking task. Jean told me that I will be having a conversation with an Australian. She or he is the one to assess me on the use of my spoken English while answering questions *finger-crossed! I can feel a tingle of fears slithers down my spine. Wish me good luck!
