A trip to Australia

Due to slow streamyx network connection, I was having some problem with uploading the photos. My family and I went on a trip to Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

Day 1:
Checked in 4 luggages and 2 hand-carried bags before departing from Kuching to Singapore by using Singapore airlines. We met up with friends and tour leader from Ming Ming travelling agency, Zoe.

Plane food never tasted good. We arrived at Changi airport around 10 at night. Checked in again at half past 12 to depart from Singapore to Australia. I spent the entire eight hours flight sleeping due to turbulence's. My sisters were watching movies and playing Mario games comfortably and happily!

Day 2:
Safely arrived at Sydney airport in the morning. Zoe drove all of us to met another tour guide, Alan (a current resident in Australia). He was in-charged with our eight days tour. On the way to Pisyeo Restaurant, he did a little introduction about Sydney highlights and favourite spots of all the tourists from overseas. After treating our stomach with such wonderful lunch, he drove us straight away to the central city of Sydney.

We went on a cruise at Darling Harbour for 1 hour to capture the best view of Sydney Opera House, Harbour bridge, King Cross and etc. After that, Alan walked us to Sydney Opera House and he did his talking again. Weather of the day was windy, I can still vividly remember how strong the wind was.

Besides, we were lucky enough to get to see a pair of newly married couple doing their photoshoots nearby there. After spending sometimes walking around Sydney Opera House, we swifted to Harbour Bridge for a slow walk. Soon after that, we headed to King Cross. When the sun was about to set down to west, we dined at a restaurant which was famous with its lobsters and other seafoods.

Day 3:
We were forced to wake up early before eight and had our breakfast in the hotel. Alan came to meet us. He took us to the nearby market to buy some freshly peeled fruits and to try on the oysters and prawns.

We spent 30 minutes swapping our leg across the market. Then, we headed to the next spots, Blue mountain and Sister peaks with a 2 hours ride from the market. Once we arrived there, all I could see was a thick layer of fog and the temperature ranged from 7 to 9 degrees Celsius. I was freaking cold until I could barely move my feet.

We then take a small train headed straight down to Sister Peak and spent 1 hour and 15 minutes to walk around the whole Scenic spot. Only after our hardships to suffer from the chilling wind, we took the cable cars to the parking lots. Since we were at a higher altitude, some of us were headache.

After another 2 hours drive back to Sydney City, we were sent to spend the rest of our day at Wildlife Park, the Tangaroo Zoo. The zoo itself was very huge there might be a possibility for me to get lost in the zoo if I had no map with me. We used cameras to capture different kind of animals, such as ostriches, parent kangaroos and baby kangaroos, Koala, Meertus, Poppy, different species of Monkeys, Leopards, extra size Chimpanzees, Bearded Dragon, Turkeys, Sheeps, Horses, and etc.

Day 4:
It was time to tour around the famous China Town. The buildings were old, antique and historical.

An hour to enjoy beach activities at Bondi Beach, locals and tourists were sun-bathing on the beach in order to get tanned. Where as, young folks were surfing along the beach. After having lunch, we took 3 hours flight to Canberra. Upon our arrival in Canberra, we were off to Parliament House, Embassy War, Memorial Halland, Lake Griffin. We had fun there.

Day 5 to 8:
Flight from Canberra to Melbourne early in the morning. Alan and Zoe took us to famous tourist attractions, such as Royal Botanical Garden, The Art centre, Town Hall, China Town, Yarra River, St.Patrick Cathedral, Shrine of Remembrance, Federation Square, Philip island (Penguin Parade), Ballarat Ancient Town (Sovereign Hill), Gold Museum, Dandenong Ranges ( Puffin Billy Stream Train), Yarra Valley Domain Chandon Winery.

I remember I spotted 17 lil penguins!
